TWITTER IN SIGHT: A STUDY ON THE REPERCUSSION OF THE CASE. DANIEL SILVEIRA

Resumo: The developments and actions involving the recent trajectory of federal deputy Daniel Silveira converge to one of the most notorious cases involving politics, justice, polarization, social networks and freedom of expression. The repercussion of the case revealed not only the strength of social networks as a communication mechanism in the pure sense of transmitting messages, but mainly in the production of meanings involving debates and social manifestations. This paper presents an analytical study of the Daniel Silveira case based on the exploration of a data set of publications extracted from the social network Twitter containing the hashtag #danielsilveira, as well as their thematic relations that go against the political polarization involving the Judiciary and the Presidency of the Republic.

A repercussão do caso revelou não apenas a força das redes sociais enquanto mecanismo de comunicação no puro sentido de transmissão de mensagens, mas principalmente na produção de sentidos envolvendo debates e manifestações sociais.
