It present a discussion about the theories and concepts about Communication, Information and Informational Behavior. Contextualizes the history of communication and information theories establishing relationships and identifying divergences between existing communication processes. It lists the historical trajectory, as well as conflicts, models and perspectives of the areas of communication and information in order to establish dialogues and tensions between the fields of science. Identifies aspects of informational behavior as a communicational object. It uses as methodology the bibliographic survey in a theoretical discussion about the historical course of communication and information, listing the trajectory and relations of informational behavior as a field of communication studies. It ends by discussing informational behavior as an object of communication and the contributions about theories and models for the construction of communication processes.
