Resumo: The present paper is part of a larger study on dietitians profile in the State of Rio de Janeiro, entitled “Dietitians: who are We? where do We act? how do We act?" lt aims at identifying what such professionals have in common in their life stories, in connection with their choice of Nutrition as their field of study and the use they make of university-acquired knowledge during the exercise of their profession. The professional profie shown in the presente article has been outlined on the basis of several meetings with active and prospective dietitians through group dynamics and other experiences.

Como atuamos?” Corresponde à etapa que se propõe a identificar O que esses profissionais têm em comum, em suas histórias de vida, no que tange à escolha da Nutrição como área de formação e à utilização do saber forjado na universidade, quando no exercício da profissão.
