Resumo: In this study we wish to describe the population that comes to seek for psychological help in the Psychological Clinic ofthe Instituto de Psicologia da PUCCAMP. For this purpose we describe some characteristics of our sample. In this research we used the epidemiological method. Variables measured: Who send the patients to the Clinic (39% health professionals and 24% school); Urgency (very much 73% of the cases); Informer (50% mothers; 41% the patient); Treatment indicated (55% psychodiagnostics and 42% psycho therapy); Time spent in treatment (61% tíll 6 months); In[1]terruption of treatment (31% gave up; 28,3% abandoned and 2(J%sent to other services).
