Resumo: This research studicd thc grupal and sociocultural psycho organizers as proposed by Kaes (1967), through child drawings. According to this author, thcsc organizcrs are psychic rcprescntations present in the pcrsons mind which determine thc form that each individual cxperienccs life ina particular group. 'Thc research study was conducted with a group of 30 children, of both scxcs who wcre studying in an institution of social and religious assistence on thc periphery ofCampinas, in the state ofSão Paulo, Brazil. Each child was asked to draw two diffcrent typcs of pictures. For first typc, the child was told to "draw a picture ofyour family" and for thc sccond "draw a picture ofany group". Tn all representing the family, there was a lack ofaction in the people that were drawn. The opposite occured when the drawings representcd any other group. In thesc, the people drawn were always performing an activity and the authors ofthc drawing tricd to reprcsrnt a group using one or more ofthe psycho organizers proposed by Kaes.
