Resumo: | To accomplish the proposed research in the field of organizational competitive intelligence, the authors opted for content analysis in order to process the data collection and analysis. Two techniques of content analysis were used: the lexical analysis and the categories’ analysis (themes). In this research, the lexical analysis, whose focus is quantitative, aims at selecting and quantifying the terms related to the organizational competitive intelligence process, such as nouns, adjectives, verbs, etc., found in the instrument used for data collection. On theother hand, the categories’ analysis has a qualitative focus, whose objective is toinvestigate themes related to the organizational competitive intelligence, found in the researched people’s speeches. |

Duas técnicas de análise de conteúdo foram utilizadas: a análise léxica e a análise categorial (temas).
