Resumo: In Brazil, studies on reading have showed that the Brazilian people rarely searchinformation. This research aimed to collect data on the information censorship inBrazil since the Brazilian State formation until the "Real coin age4", and in itsconstitutions. It focalizes censorship role, its determinant factors, theforms in whichit has been applied, and its consequences on reading and research.
