AGNOSTICS, ATHEISTS AND WITHOUT RELIGION WITH BELIEF: THE ABSENCE OF RELIGION AND THE PREDILECTION FOR ART AS IDENTITY TRAITS

This article is an integral part of the doctoral research that deals with the phenomenon of the non-religious. We aimed to present, through the contributions of agnostic, atheist and non-religious participants, data related to leisure compulsive people of these individuals. Funerals reverberate some identity traits and indicate affections. We consider identity as a dynamic process and an integral part of the (re)composition of the memory of individuals in time and space. The methodology used was mixed, consisting of a theoretical framework and field research, carried out by follow-up digitally. From the contributions of agnostics, atheists and non-religious with belief, we conclude that the activities included in the scope of art are privileged by these individuals. In contrast, there was no mention of religion or religious activities among the favorites. We conclude that there is a process of identity reconfiguration and recomposition of religious memory, suggestive of the weakening of the religious heritage. Furthermore, according to the data, we observed in people without religion, manifestations of individualization and deinstitutionalization in the reception and experience of art by people without religion, similar to the process noted in the scope of religious identification.
