Resumo: | The understanding that pedagogical supervision is a school activity considered the cornerstone of ensuring teaching quality for the supporting the guarantee of teaching quality, the objective of this paper is to conduct a criticalanalysis of the practice of pedagogical supervision in schools. Thus, reflecting this theme in a qualitative approach, the aim is to bring possible approaches in thetransformative, humanizing and emancipatory perspective of the activity of pedagogical supervision, which can constitute a reference for contexts that use thisactivity in search of guaranteeing the quality of teaching and learning, mainly the mozambican context, in which the author works as a teacher, with a view to building a quality, democratic, autonomous school. This is a bibliographic study that, to support the topic under analysis and enrich its approach, used authors who discuss the topic in question, based mainly on Rangel (2008), Saviani (1979),Ronca e Gonçalves (2006), Cardoso (2011), Alarcão and Tavares (2003). |

Ao refletir esta temática numa abordagem qualitativa, intenta-se trazer possíveis abordagens na perspectiva transformadora, humanizadora e emancipatória da atividade de supervisão pedagógica, que possam se constituir como referência para contextos que se servem desta atividade em busca de garantir a qualidade do ensino e de aprendizagem, principalmente o contexto moçambicano, em que a autora atua como docente, com vistas a construir uma escola de qualidade, democrática, autônoma.
