Resumo: This text studies fear and trauma through the memories involved in the historical, artistic, political and literary aspects happened during World War II. The object of study is the poem by Carlos Drummond de Andrade, international Congress of Fear”. The objective is to understand how the events took place and what factors portray the artistic and social manifestations, is a ibliographical research that brings: Antonio Candido (2017), Márcio Seligmann-Silva (2003), Aleida Assmann (2011), Henri Bergson (2010) among others.
