This article brings a case study: the inventory of Ângelo Maria Anastácio, Italian immigrant and merchant, who died in 1878, in Miranda, Mato Grosso. To this end, I take as a reference the debates and assumptions of micro-history to address his life trajectory, especially the operation of the commercial house Ângelo Maria Anastácio Companhia. The inventory process was closed in 1880 and brings the collection and listing of the goods of the commercial house and his personal property. As it is a meticulous source, it allows us to know the products that were sold, their economic activities, as well as the ins and outs of the house, clothing, trousseau, furniture and utensils, that is, a means of entering into a broader universe of the late 19th century. The aim is to contribute to studies on the post-Paraguay War context in southern Mato Grosso, as well as on Italian immigration.
