Paul Ricoeur e o problema do reconhecimento

O objetivo deste trabalho é demonstrar como Ricoeur situa a discussão acerca do reconhecimento, tendo como pano de fundo a questão da alteridade. O autor entende que a luta (Hegel), a violência (Hobbes) e o desprezo (Honneth) são formas de reconhecimento do outro que negam sua alteridade e que ocultam um desejo de solidão mediante a morte do outro. Por conta disso, Ricoeur não nega a realidade dos conflitos cotidianos, mas propõe que as experiências de reconhecimento pacífico, delineadas pelo caráter desinteressado do ágape, possam representar uma trégua na luta e uma tentativa de evitar a violência infligida a outrem.The aim this work is demonstrates as Ricoeur situates the discussion about of the recognition, having as background the otherness question. The author understands that struggle (Hegel), violence (Hobbes) and contempt (Honneth) are forms other’s recognition  that deny its otherness and that conceal a desire for solitude through the death of other. Because of this, Ricoeur does not deny the reality of the everyday conflicts, but proposes that experiences pacific recognition, delineated by the disinterested character of agape, may represent a truce in struggle and an attempted of avoid the violence inflicted the others.
