SPIRITUALITY AND RELIGIOSITY IN THE HEALTH OF ONCOLOGICAL PATIENTS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE RELIGIONS STUDIES:

Resumo: This research aimed to map the scientific productions in the area of Religious Studies over the implications of spirituality and religiosity in the health of cancer patients. For eligibility criteria we have considered scientific productions in the format of articles, dissertations and theses, published from January 1, 2018 to October 30, 2022 in the journals A1, A2, B1 and B2 in the area of Religious Studies and Theology and in the catalog of theses and dissertations of postgraduate programs in RS at CAPES, written in Portuguese (Brazil), English, Spanish, German, Italian or French and that brought spirituality and religiosity in health as their central theme of oncological patients. From the 1669 studies found, 9 were selected for reading in full, generated in a final sample of 8 analyzed studies. The results of this review showed that the spirituality and religiosity experienced by cancer patients help them in coping with the disease, in psychological well-being, in the perception of meaning in existence and in quality of life.

Para los criterios de elegibilidad se consideraron producciones científicas en formato de artículos, disertaciones y tesis, publicado del 1 de enero de 2018 al 30 de octubre de 2022 en las revistas A1, A2, B1 y B2 en el área de Ciencias de la Religión y Teología y en el catálogo de tesis y disertaciones de los programas de posgrado en CR de la CAPES, escrito en portugués (Brasil), inglés, español, alemán, italiano o francés e que tuvo como tema central la espiritualidad y la religiosidad en la salud de los pacientes con cáncer. De los 1669 estudios encontrados, 9 fueron seleccionados para lectura completa, resultando una muestra final de 8 estudios analizados. Los resultados de esta revisión mostraron que la espiritualidad y la religiosidad vivida por los pacientes con cáncer ayudan en el enfrentamiento de la enfermedad, en el bienestar psicológico, en la percepción del sentido de la existencia y en la calidad de vida.Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo mapear as produções científicas da área de Ciências das Religiões sobre as implicações da espiritualidade e da religiosidade na saúde de pacientes oncológicos. Para critérios de elegibilidade foram consideradas as produções científicas no formato de artigo, de dissertações e de teses, publicadas no período de 01 de janeiro de 2018 a 30 de outubro de 2022 nas revistas A1, A2, B1 e B2 da área de Ciências da Religião e Teologia e no catálogo de teses e dissertações dos programas de pós-graduação em CR da CAPES, escritas em língua portuguesa (Brasil), inglesa, espanhola, alemã, italiana ou francesa e que traziam como temática central a espiritualidade e a religiosidade na saúde de pacientes oncológicos. Dos 1669 estudos encontrados, 9 foram selecionados para leitura na íntegra, resultando em uma amostra final de 8 estudos analisados.
