Resumo: | The Popular Reading of the Bible was / is one of the great contributions of interpretation made by the Church in Brazil to the institutions of Second Vatican Council. In this trajectory, Carlos Mesters and the Ecumenical Center for Biblical Studies (CEBI) are its main figures. The concern with a method of reading the Bible that contributed (and had meaning) to people's lives was one of the central objectives. The use of biblical readings as a methodological synthesis and the understanding of the exodus as a founding event has marked as well this hermeneutic style. The aims of this article is to recap this process from a literature close to CEBI, as well as to point out hermeneutical possibilities for a biblical reading from young people. |

Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais2020-07-10info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttp://periodicos.pucminas.br/index.php/interacoes/article/view/1954710.5752/P.1983-2478.2020v15n1p178-196INTERAÇÕES; Vol 15 No 1 (2020); 178-196INTERAÇÕES; Vol. 15 Núm. 1 (2020); 178-196INTERAÇÕES; v. 15 n. 1 (2020); 178-1961983-2478reponame:Interações (Uberlândia.
