O discurso presidencial na manifestação do dia do exército: sentidos de liberdade, democracia e povo

Resumo: This article aims to reflect on the concepts of Discursive Formation and Discursive Memory, from the perspective of Discourse Analysis of the French line, henceforth AD, through the analysis of the speech of the President of Brazil, Jair Messias Bolsonaro, carried out at Army Day demonstration. The purpose of the article is to analyze one of the demonstrations, which took place on April 19, 2020, being the Army day, in the city of Brasília, and which included the participation of President Jair Bolsonaro who, in front of a military unit of the army, made a speech to the present protesters. The manifestations in favor of the President were characterized by some press vehicles as “undemocratic” considering that their flags were the closing of the Federal Supreme Court - STF and the National Congress. From linguistic elements present in the analyzed corpus, it was possible to verify, through the discursive memory, affiliations of meanings between the presidential speech of that period with the current presidential speech. Such affiliations of meaning could also be perceived when analyzing the discursive functioning of democracy and freedom, which change meaning according to the FD that is in operation.

Such affiliations of meaning could also be perceived when analyzing the discursive functioning of democracy and freedom, which change meaning according to the FD that is in operation.Este artigo tem como propósito refletir sobre os conceitos de Formação Discursiva e Memória Discursiva, na perspectiva da Análise do Discurso de linha francesa, daqui por diante AD, por meio da análise do discurso do Presidente do Brasil, Jair Messias Bolsonaro, realizado na manifestação do dia do Exército. A proposta do artigo consiste em analisar uma das manifestações, ocorrida no dia 19 de Abril de 2020, sendo o dia do Exército, na cidade de Brasília, e que contou com a participação do Presidente Jair Bolsonaro que, diante de uma unidade militar do exército, fez um discurso aos manifestantes presentes. As manifestações a favor do Presidente foram caracterizadas por alguns veículos da imprensa como “antidemocráticas” tendo em vista que têm como bandeiras o fechamento do Supremo Tribunal Federal - STF e do Congresso Nacional. A partir de elementos linguísticos presentes no corpus analisado foi possível constatar, através da memória discursiva, filiações de sentidos entre o discurso presidencial daquele período com o discurso presidencial atual.
