Resumo: This article investigates certain anti-metaphysical procedures inherent to the genealogical method proposed by Nietzsche and developped by Foucault and Jonathan Crary in order to emphasize its productive application in the field of Theory of Communication. Initially it stresses how genealogy may enrich studies in this area, specially as a means to overcome certain analytical constraints such as: the metaphysics of origin, the belief in the subject as an agent, and the habit of establishing cause-effect relations. In order to show the productivity of the method, it proposes a genealogical investigation of certain expressive changes of regimes of subjectivity in recent cultural products connected to what can be called “somatic culture”. Enriched by genealogy, Theory of Communication enlarges its scope and relevance for the understanding of cultural horizons, senses and ways of living in constant change: that is what is at stake in the article.

En un primer movimiento, alienta el enriquecimiento del área, propiciado por la superación, operada por el gesto genealógico, de la metafísica del origen, de la creencia, en el sujeto y de la lógica de causa/efecto. A continuación, para resaltar el carácter productivo de esta metodología, se propone un abordaje genealógico acerca de la alteración del régimen de subjetivación en la contemporaneidad a partir de productos culturales recientes, tomándolos como expresiones de lo que llamamos cultura somática. Enriquecida por la genealogía, la Teoría de la Comunicación amplía su espacio y relevancia hacia la comprensión de horizontes culturales y modos de vida en continua transformación: he ahí la apuesta que subyace al movimiento de este texto.Explicitando certos pressupostos antimetafísicos implicados no método genealógico criado por Nietzsche e desenvolvido por Michel Foucault e Jonathan Crary, o artigo aponta possíveis rendimentos desse método no campo da Teoria da Comunicação. Em um primeiro movimento, salienta o enriquecimento da área propiciado pela ultrapassagem, operada pelo gesto genealógico, da metafísica da origem, da crença no sujeito e da lógica de causa/efeito. A seguir, para ressaltar o caráter produtivo dessa metodologia, propõe uma abordagem genealógica acerca da alteração do regime de subjetivação na contemporaneidade a partir de produtos culturais recentes, tomando-os como expressões do que chamamos de cultura somática.
