Resumo: This article deals with the meaning of interprofessional action in the context of care for the population in the implementation of a social policy. It aims to identify whether the performance of a profession, in a teamwork, highlights the power exercised by that profession over others, and distances itself from the interprofessional articulation to achieve the common objective, the citizen’s right. For the empirical examination of the question, the survey carried out during the Covid pandemic 19 and research carried out by Núcleo de Estudos e Pesquisas em Seguridade e Assistência Social at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (NEPSAS/PUC-SP).
