Metacognitive strategies: A reflection from the academic essay

Resumo: This article aims to provoke reflection on the learning of reading and writing as metacognitive processes in academic essays in the legal area, as well as contributing to the studies of the academic essay genre, stating the relevance of autonomy in the learning processes of authors. The problematization is directly related to results obtained by the comprehension of academic students during the textual production. It is observed that many productions reveal difficulties regarding the writing and reading competences, evidencing that the development of the metacognitive competences can contribute to the academic level students learning.

A problematização relaciona-se diretamente com resultados obtidos pela compreensãode estudantes acadêmicos durante a produção textual.
