Resumo: The goal of this article is to analyze the scenic-performative procedures used in Pita Torres’ staging, Prostíbulo poético Valparaíso (2018), to understand how, through theatrical-gathering resources a world of marginal festivity that tenses the image of the patrimonial, cultural and touristic Valparaíso, old port of the South, (raised from the political institutionally) is configured. The analysis suggests that the choice of a borderline proxemics, which favours bodily interaction between actants and spectators, produces a shocking experience that takes them out of illusion. This configures as a non-textual strategy that raises a social critique from within the poetic universe.

This configures as a non-textual strategy that raises a social critique from within the poetic universe.El presente artículo estudia los procedimientos escénico-performativos utilizados en el montaje de Pita Torres, Prostíbulo poético Valparaíso (2018), con el objetivo de comprender cómo, a través de recursos que acentúan lo convivial, se configura un mundo de fiesta marginal que pone en tensión la imagen del Valparaíso patrimonial, antiguo puerto del Pacífico Sur, promocionado hoy como sitio cultural y turístico desde la institucionalidad política. El análisis plantea que la elección de una proxémica limítrofe, que propicia la interacción corporal entre actantes y espectadores, produce una experiencia de shock que los saca de la ilusión, configurándose como una estrategia no textual, que enarbola una crítica social desde el universo poético.O presente artigo estuda os procedimentos cênico-performativos utilizados na montagem de Pita Torres, Prostíbulo poético Valparaíso (2018), a fim de entender como, através de recursos que acentuam o convívio, se representa um mundo de festa marginal que coloca em tensão a imagem de um Valparaíso patrimonial, antigo porto do Pacífico Sul, promovido hoje como um lugar cultural e turístico pela institucionalidade política.
