Resumo: To revisit the first edition of Bakhtin’s Dostoevsky is particularly important to the end of reconsidering Bakhtin’s work. It delineates two basic Bakhtinian concept: “dialogue” and “polyphony”. Their centrality is such that to misunderstand them is to misunderstand the whole of Bakhtinian thought. Yet these notions have often been misunderstood, even by those who have played a major role in spreading Bakhtin’s ideas.

En él surgen dos conceptos centrales: “diálogo” y “polifonía”. Su centralidad es tal que no entenderlas lleva a no entender el conjunto del pensamiento bajtiniano. Y desgraciadamente hay que decir que a menudo han sido malinterpretados y, lo que es peor, incluso por aquellos que tuvieron el mérito de haber contribuido a la difusión de las ideas de Bajtín.Ritornare alla prima edizione del Dostoevskij di Bachtin è particolarmente importante per una riconsiderazione dell’opera bachtiniana. In essa si delineano due concetti centrali: quello di “dialogo” e quello di “polifonia”. La loro centralità è tale che il loro fraintendimento comporta il fraintendimento dell’intero pensiero bachtiniano.
