Imperial urban foundations and the transoceanic dimension of the radical Enlightenment: Foundations for the emergence of a coastal maritime chronotope in Chilean literatura

Resumo: This essay outlines a theoretical and conceptual framework to propose a counter-canon that allows us to situate some authors and works that document the possibility of identifying a maritime port chronotope in Chilean literature. This view is situated in the paradigm of the radical Enlightenment, articulated from a transoceanic and geophilosophical perspective of urban-port locations. An analytical battery is developed to address the contexts of production of the works, defining genealogies and critical cartographies from a geo-cultural perspective. From this, a corpus of works is delimited to give concrete consistency to the proposal of a counter-canonical maritime-port chronotope in the first half of the twentieth century.

Esta mirada se sitúa en el paradigma de la Ilustración radical, articulada desde una perspectiva transoceánica y geofilosófica de los emplazamientos urbano-portuarios. Se elabora una batería analítica que permita abordar los contextos de producción de las obras definiendo genealogías y cartografías críticas desde una perspectiva geocultural. A partir de esto, se delimita un corpus de obras que le dé consistencia concreta a la propuesta de un cronotopo marítimo-portuario contra-canónico en la primera mitad del siglo XX.Este artigo esboça uma estrutura teórica e conceitual para propor um contra-canon que nos permite situar alguns autores e obras que documentam a possibilidade de identificar um cronotopo marítimo portuário na literatura chilena. Esta visão está situada no paradigma do Iluminismo radical, articulada a partir de uma perspectiva transoceânica e geofilosófica das localizações urbano-portuárias. Uma bateria analítica é desenvolvida para abordar os contextos de produção das obras, definindo genealogias e cartografias críticas a partir de uma perspectiva geocultural.
