Literaturas africanas: da recolha de dados e imagens à expressão identitária e esteticamente reconhecível

o artigo discute o processual desenvolvimento da literatura africana narrativa de expressão portuguesa (tomada aqui de forma genérica, não respeitando as especificidades nacionais) ao longo das quatro últimas décadas, observando a passagem do posicionamento inicialmente ideológico, de cunho demarcadamente testemunhal e denunciativo, à gradativa construção de meios expressivos próprios e à assunção de uma identidade esteticamente reconhecível, junto à definição de temáticas recorrentes. Para tanto, basear-se-á em análise de texto surgido na década de 1970 em/com um autor emblemático como o é Uanhenga Xitu, chegando à produção atual, através de escritores como Ondjaki, Paulina Chiziane, Mia Couto e João Melo, abordando as diferentes funções e feições que a literatura africana desempenhou até então, e detém hoje. African literatures: from the recollecting of data and images to an identity expression esthetically recognized Abstract: In this article, we discuss about the development in progress of African literature written in Portuguese language (this expression is used here in a general way which does not consider national peculiarities) along the last four decades. In summary, we intend to observe the passage from the initial ideological positioning, which is characterized by a testimonial and denunciatory component, to the gradual construction of particular expressive ways and to the assumption of an identity esthetically recognized in relation to the recurrent themes. To this effect, this work is based on the analysis of a text produced by the emblematic author Uanhenga Xitu in the 1970’s, and on the actual production, through writers such as Ondjaki, Paulina Chinziane, Mia Couto and João Melo, in which we approach different functions and aspects that African literature has been showing until the current moment.
