No obstante, han sido los graves hechos que estamos conocimiento en el día a día los que han ido sensibilizando a la sociedad, de tal forma, que aquella primera opinión “son cosas de críos” se ha sustituido por otra que reconoce las consecuencias que puede conllevar para un adolescente una situación de acoso. Por tanto, resulta necesario sensibilizar al profesorado, alumnado y familias sobre las consecuencias que a corto, medio y largo plazo tienen los comportamientos intimidatorios y de maltrato entre iguales para ceder el paso al aprendizaje de la convivencia. En este artículo, pretendemos definir el acoso escolar, establecer diferentes niveles de prevención relacionados con el entorno, la familia y procesos educativos para concluir con un protocolo de actuación que marque las líneas de intervención realizadas por el centro escolar.La violencia en los centros escolares y, más concretamente, el acoso escolar, no es un fenómeno nuevo.
