The use of artificial intelligence for people with disabilities considering aspects of intellectual property

Resumo: | This article discusses the use of AI within the scope of intellectual property and Education 4.0 applied to individuals with intellectual disabilities. It aims to analyze the positive and negative perspectives of the use of this technology due to the significant increase in its use in recent years. Thus, the impact of AI-induced changes in Education 4.0 may be substantial. Still, they are not yet easily discernible, requiring an in-depth analysis to fully understand the impact of these changes in education driven by artificial intelligence. This research is based on the theoretical areas of Educational Technology and Machine Learning. The explorations were identified based on bibliometric parameters and research into already published materials (books, articles, theses, and dissertations) in the SciELO and Google Scholar databases to understand the development path of AI in the two spheres above. In analyzing the results, a classification of intelligent tutors is presented, namely, personalized adaptation, immediate feedback, continuous monitoring, interactivity and engagement, data analysis and statistics, adaptive learning, 24/7 access, multidisciplinary support, artificial and machine intelligence learning and integration with educational platforms, which permeate educational machine learning. In conclusion, this work aims to demonstrate that success in inclusion lies in recognizing students’ differences and considering them as a positive asset to promote the learning of all people with disabilities. Differences between students need to be identified to provide study opportunities. Therefore, AI in education is positioned as a resource that promotes autonomous learning without – or with little – geographic restrictions. |

Se pretende analizar las perspectivas positivas y negativas del uso de esta tecnología debido al importante incremento de su uso en los últimos años. Por lo tanto, el impacto de los cambios inducidos por la IA en la Educación 4.0 puede ser significativo, pero aún no son fácilmente discernibles, por lo que se requiere un análisis en profundidad para comprender plenamente el impacto de estos cambios en la educación impulsados por la inteligencia artificial. Esta investigación se fundamenta en las áreas teóricas de Tecnología Educativa y Aprendizaje Automático. Las exploraciones fueron identificadas a partir de parámetros bibliométricos e investigaciones de materiales ya publicados (libros, artículos, tesis y disertaciones) en las bases de datos SciELO y Google Scholar para comprender el camino de desarrollo de la IA en los dos ámbitos antes mencionados. Al analizar los resultados, se presenta una clasificación de tutores inteligentes, a saber, adaptación personalizada, retroalimentación inmediata, monitoreo continuo, interactividad y compromiso, análisis de datos y estadísticas, aprendizaje adaptativo, acceso 24 horas al día, 7 días a la semana, soporte multidisciplinario, aprendizaje con inteligencia artificial y automática y integración con plataformas educativas, que permean el aprendizaje automático educativo. En conclusión, este trabajo pretende demostrar que el éxito en la práctica de la inclusión radica en reconocer las diferencias de los estudiantes y considerarlas como un activo positivo para promover el aprendizaje de todas las personas con discapacidad. Es necesario identificar las diferencias entre los estudiantes para brindar oportunidades de estudio; Por tanto, la IA en educación se posiciona como un recurso que promueve el aprendizaje autónomo sin –o con pocas– restricciones geográficas.O presente artigo discute o uso da IA no âmbito da propriedade intelectual e da Educação 4.0 aplicada a indivíduos com deficiência intelectual. Objetiva analisar as perspectivas positivas e negativas do uso dessa tecnologia por conta do aumento significativo de sua utilização nos últimos anos. Assim, o impacto das mudanças induzidas pela IA na Educação 4.0 podem ser significativas, mas ainda não são facilmente discerníveis, sendo necessário uma análise aprofundada para compreender plenamente o impacto dessas mudanças na educação impulsionada pela inteligência artificial. Esta pesquisa está pautada nas áreas teóricas da Tecnologia da Educacional e Aprendizado de Máquina (machine learning). As explorações foram identificadas com base em parâmetros bibliométricos e pesquisas em materiais já publicados (livros, artigos, teses e dissertações) nas bases de dados SciELO e Google Acadêmico para entender o caminho de desenvolvimento da IA nas duas esferas citadas. Na análise dos resultados, é apresentada uma classificação dos tutores inteligentes, qual seja, adaptação personalizada, feedback imediato, monitoramento contínuo, interatividade e engajamento, análise de dados e estatísticas, aprendizagem adaptativa, acesso 24/7, suporte multidisciplinar, inteligência artificial e machine learning e integração com plataformas educacionais, que permeiam o aprendizado de máquina educacional. Em conclusão, este trabalho visa demonstrar que o sucesso para a prática de inclusão está em reconhecer as diferenças dos alunos e considerar como um ativo positivo para promover a aprendizagem de todas as pessoas com deficiência.
