History from simple subject: culture and practice of primary school of southern Sergipe (1930-1960)

Resumo: Through the opening afforded by cultural history, for which new objects and new sources are accepted, this work is structured through the narratives of primary school trajectory of seventeen characters aged between 68 and 96 years old, residents on the south of Sergipe state. We’ve had the goal of understanding the history of the primary institution of southern Sergipe, in the period from 1930 to 1961, the memories of those who studied and / or had been teachers. To this end, we used the methodology of oral history, according to Alberti (2010), and elected as categories of analysis ‘school culture’, of Dominique Julia (2001), and ‘school practices’, from Faria Filho e Vidal (2004). Thus, we conclude that the history of primary school southern Sergipe, with their similarities and differences, can and must also be interpreted by memories, voices and representations of the common people as in this case retired teachers.

Thus, we conclude that the history of primary school southern Sergipe, with their similarities and differences, can and must also be interpreted by memories, voices and representations of the common people as in this case retired teachers.Mediante una equilibrada apertura a la historia cultural, la cual toma en consideración nuevos objetos y nuevas fuentes, el presente trabajo se estructura por medio de las narrativas de la trayectoria escolar primaria de diecisiete personas comprendidas entre los 68 y los 96 años de edad, residentes en el territorio del sur de Sergipe. Nuestro objetivo fue la comprehensión de la institución primaria del sur de Sergipe en el periodo de 1930 a 1961 a través de las memorias de quien fue estudiante e/o profesor. A tal fin, recurrimos a la metodología de la historia oral (según Alberti, 2010) y elegimos como categorías de análisis ‘cultura escolar’, de Dominique Julia (2001) y ‘prácticas escolares’, de Faria Filho e Vidal (2004). De este modo llegamos a la conclusión de que la historia de la escuela primaria en el sur de Sergipe, con sus semejanzas y divergencias, puede y debe ser también interpretada desde los recuerdos, las voces y las representaciones de sujetos anónimos, en este caso, los profesores jubilados.Por meio da abertura proporcionada pela História Cultural, para a qual novos objetos e fontes são contemplados, o presente trabalho se estrutura através das narrativas de trajetória escolar primária de dezessete personagens com faixa etária entre 68 e 96 anos de idade, residentes no território sul sergipano. O objetivo foi compreender a história da instituição primária sul sergipana, no período de 1930 a 1961, pelas memórias de quem estudou e/ou foi professor. Para tanto, recorreu-se à metodologia da História Oral, segundo Alberti (2010), e elegeuse como categorias de análise ‘cultura escolar’, de Dominique Julia (2001), e ‘práticas escolares’, de Faria Filho e Vidal (2004).
