Resumo: The hypermodern society is an excited society that demands personalized, tailored, and customized learning experience from the school. This text aims to raise questions and point out intersections on the expansion of capitalism, the specificities of the hypermodern society and the place of education and the school. To that purpose, the text is based on concepts of psychoanalysis and the philosophical theories of authors such as Gilles Lipovetsky and Zygmunt Bauman to delineate the impacts of this new socioeconomic order on the social ties. Hence, it is possible to reflect upon how crucial it is that the school plays a socially edifying role in face of this new economic, cultural and technological scenario. The school is the social agent that guarantees individuals are formed with ethical, reflective, critical views; sensitive to the urgent matters concerning a country which high levels of inequality support a disproportionate set of privileges.

Este texto tiene por objetivo levantar intersecciones y cuestionamientos acerca del carácter hiperconsumista de la expansión capitalista, de las características particulares de la sociedad hipermoderna y del lugar de la escuela y de la educación ante estos nuevos paradigmas. Para ello, se aproximó el abordaje psicoanalítico de las teorías filosóficas de pensadores como Zygmunt Bauman y Gilles Lipovetsky a fin de arrojar luz a los impactos importantes en la fragilización del lazo social oriundos del nuevo orden socioeconómico. En este aspecto, es posible pensar que, además del peso de las nuevas demandas económicas, culturales y tecnológicas, cabe a la escuela ocupar una posición estructurante y edificadora, colocarse como instancia social que guarda el interés de la formación del sujeto ético, reflexivo, crítico y sensible a las urgencias de un país, cuyos altos índices de desigualdad aseguran un monopolio de privilegios.A sociedade hipermoderna é uma sociedade excitada que demanda da escola a personalização do ensino e a customização e espetacularização da experiência escolar. Este texto tem como objetivo levantar interseções e questionamentos acerca do caráter hiperconsumista da expansão capitalista, das características peculiares da sociedade hipermoderna e do lugar da escola e da educação diante desses novos paradigmas. Para tal, aproximouse a perspectiva psicanalítica das teorias filosóficas de pensadores como Zygmunt Bauman e Gilles Lipovetsky a fim de lançar luz aos impactos importantes à fragilização do laço social oriundos da nova ordem socioeconômica.
