Teaching Literature: A historical-cultural proposal for the resignification of teaching practices

Resumo: Clarify the concept of Literary Art and to contribute with the education professionals in the construction of their scientific knowledge on the teaching literature are the purposes of this article, due to the continuity of a practice of reading the literary text, still devoid of the historical-cultural bakhtinian approach, that values the act of reading as a dialogical and ambivalent act, of aesthetic (philosophical) and ideological (social) nature of language. This text proposes reflections about the importance of the bakhtinian theory for the resignification of teaching practices in the teaching literature. This is a qualitative research - a case study, involving semi-structured interviews with twelve teachers from a public school in São Paulo state and the observation of two (filmed) classes of literature. From the semiotics (bakhtinian) analysis of the data, resulted discussions with the participants about the relevance of an epistemology of teaching practice, based on the Materialist Philosophy of Language

Este texto propone reflexiones sobre la importancia de la teoría bakhtiniana para la resignificación de las prácticas docentes, en la enseñanza de la literatura. Se trata de una investigación cualitativa - un estudio de caso, que involucró entrevistas semiestructuradas con doce profesoras de una escuela pública paulista y observación de dos clases (filmadas) de literatura. En el análisis semiótico (bakhtiniano) de los datos, resultaron discusiones con las participantes sobre la relevancia de una epistemología de la práctica docente, basada en la Filosofía Materialista del Lenguaje.Explicitar o conceito de arte literária e contribuir com os profissionais da educação na construção de seus saberes científicos sobre o ensino de literatura são os objetivos deste artigo, em razão da continuidade de uma prática de leitura do texto literário, ainda destituída do enfoque histórico-cultural bakhtiniano, que valoriza o ato de ler como um ato dialógico e ambivalente, de natureza estética (filosófica) e ideológica (social) da linguagem. Este texto propõe reflexões sobre a importância da teoria bakhtiniana para ressignificação das práticas docentes, no ensino da literatura. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa – um estudo de caso, que envolveu entrevistas semiestruturadas com doze professoras de uma escola pública paulista e observação de duas aulas (filmadas) de literatura.
