Resumo: Education is the systematization of a set of values, ideas, principles, theoretical and empirical knowledge that are based on the culture of a company that adds value at different stages of sociocultural development. Given that this definition is important for a differentiated approach to the field of school and the teaching-learning process developed in this, especially when considering the high rates of teacher turnover, lack of educational policies differentiated, all aimed at encouragement of education of the field that the prime real need that the man of the field in their training needs in light of these factors that the school leaving the field to have meaning for the students and leaving to fulfill its primary mission: transforming lives. It is necessary, a conglomerate of factors sets, intrinsic and extrinsic, that this situation can be reversed, eg change of grade curriculum, policy of scholarships in the areas related to the field, technical training of teachers, improvements in technology and organizational structure of school units, improvement in the transport of both students and teachers about the macro-economic policies aimed at the development of the field as a whole.

Esta definição é importante para fazer uma abordagem diferenciada da escola do campo e do processo de ensino-aprendizagem nela desenvolvido, principalmente, quando se analisa os altos índices de rotatividade de docência e a ausência de políticas educacionais diferenciadas, que visem ao incentivo de uma educação do campo e que primem pela real necessidade que o homem do campo tem em sua formação. Em face desses fatores, a escola do campo está deixando de ter significado para os alunos e deixando de cumprir sua principal missão: transformar vidas.
