Resumo: The importance achieved by the film narrative is related to the transformation of the human eye in modernity. The ability to cause enchantment and to intervene in the construction of the world view generated the development of various experiences around the use of films in education. The research project  Time and space in evidence: the production of short films involving aspects of the city of São José do Rio Preto to practice the teaching of history and geography” part of this context of appreciation of cinema in research and practices related to field of education. This project aimed to the experience of a training process based on the production of videos related to the mentioned school knowledge and linked to empirical reality of the city in question, as well as a training process that allowed the establishment of an educational ethos grounded in autonomy.

La capacidad de causar encanto y de intervenir en la construcción de la visión del mundo ha generado el desarrollo de diversas experiencias en torno a la utilización de películas en la educación. El proyecto de investigación “El tiempo y el espacio en la evidencia: la producción de cortometrajes relacionados con aspectos de la ciudad de São José do Rio Preto para practicar la enseñanza de la historia y la geografía” parte de este contexto de apreciación de cine en la investigación y las prácticas relacionadas con campo de la educación. Este proyecto destinado a la experiencia de un proceso de capacitación basado en la producción de vídeos relacionados con el conocimiento de la escuela mencionada y vinculados a la realidad empírica de la ciudad en cuestión, así como un proceso de capacitación que permitió el establecimiento de una ética de la educación basada en la autonomía.A importância alcançada pelas narrativas cinematográficas guarda relação com a transformação do olhar humano na modernidade. A capacidade de provocar encantamento e de intervir na construção da visão de mundo gerou o desenvolvimento de várias experiências em torno do emprego de filmes na educação. O projeto de pesquisa “Tempo e espaço em evidência: a produção de curtas metragens envolvendo aspectos da cidade de São José do Rio Preto como prática do ensino de História e de Geografia” faz parte do contexto de valorização do cinema nas pesquisas e práticas relacionadas ao campo da educação.
