Resumo: The litero-musical discourse in the work of the composer, guitarist, poet and singer Elomar Figueira Mello is investigated in the framework of the theory of the Discourse Analysis, in which we consider the aspects related to the concepts of paratopia and ethos. The work of Figueira Mello is funded on the colonial Brazil of the 17th century and, in particular, he brings back the language, the music and the environment of that time, with the objective of value the Brazilian culture. We analyze two of the most relevant pieces of the composer, namely “O violeiro” and “Campo Branco”, in which we have found strong paratopic marks, which characterizes this positioning in the Brazilian litero-musical scenario.
