Resumo: This article analyses three photographic initiatives with the objective of discussing some of humanist photography’s manifestations after the Second World War, and its relations with the conflict. Starting from one of the first photographic series made by Claudia Andujar, on Brazilian families (1960-62), some possible relations with the photographic reportage People are people the world over (1948-49) and the exhibition Family of Man (1955) are identified, and therefore a dialog is established between the mentioned photographer and the humanist photography movement, especially in its American strand.
