Resumo: In this article we will present some of the innovations from the last 10 years in the field of historical research, offering new perspectives on the reconstruction and interpretation of the characteristics and processes experienced by the Uruguayan society during the dictatorship established in the last days of June 1973, which ruled the country until February 1985.
