Beyond historical organizations, emblematic figures and recognized practices. Elements to rethink the human rights movement in Argentina

Resumo: Argentina stands out, from the return to democracy in 1983, for the presence of human rights in its political culture. In these pages I will analyze the role played in that process by the human rights movement. I propose to think of this movement beyond its historical organizations, its emblematic figures and its recognized practices incorporating the examination of initiatives that, developed by actors not framed in these organizations, contributed to the truth, justice and memory regarding the crimes of State and, with it, the status attained by human rights in the political culture of the country.
