Resumo: I this text we try to reconstruct the position of Duns Scotus aboutinduction. He is conscious of the logical jump that occurs in induction.Nevertheless, he says that there is a rational justification for it. We shall,therefore, explain first what are for him the principles of knowledge; then, weclear up the principle of causality; at the end, we present the two kinds ofinduction. We shall also contrast his position with some theses of Hume and Kant.

Ele está consciente do salto lógico que ocorre na indução. No entanto, ele afirma que há uma justificativa racional para ela. Assim, explicaremos em primeiro lugar o que são para ele os princípios do conhecimento; em seguida, esclareceremos o princípio de causalidade; por fim, apresentaremos os dois tipos de indução.
