As orações coordenadas sindéticas explicativas e as orações subordinadas adverbiais causais: uma perspectiva historiográfica

This research will study and analyze the explanatory coordinate clauses and the causal adverbial subordinate clauses in two normative grammars and, also, in two others of functionalists strands which were written from the second half of the 20th century on. To this end, it will be adopted a historiographic perspective whose path will enable us to research the similarities and differences between these clause groups. This methodology shall follow the principle of contextualization that will show how grammars were analyzed and designed in the period they were written. Then, the principle of Immanence, which will seek to seize the object of analysis in its own constitution. And, finally, the principle of theoretical adequacy, which will establish the working parameters over the analyzed works and how the object of analysis is interpreted today. Following these methodological directions, the research will allow the study in question to bring new contributions to a better understanding of the concept of the Explanatory Coordinate Clauses and the Causal Adverbial Subordinate Clauses, that is, to verify how this fine line pervades both compound clauses and, finally, check what the didactic exploitation is that the study might have provided
