This paper focuses on the appropriation of the body as a result of the constitution of the psyche and therefore the relationship with the other -driving the construction of subjectivity and entry to otherness.In this sense, runs through Freudian constructs with regard to the Psychoanalysis approach in body hears that initially found in hysteria, a primary outlet: far from being understood in its anatomapatológico aspect, under the gaze Freudian body of the hysterical patient mirrored a psychic conflict, based on a historicity.We transition then under the formulations of this author that rush to read the bodyfor understanding and intervention to suffering from hysterical patient, pass the conjecturações taking this object as the primary screen the appropriation of subjectivity.This work covers the theories that sought to understand the body, beyond its somatic aspect; takes the concept of sexuality in Freud to enter their formulations as the psychical and, starting from then, points to the Freudian concept of appropriation of the body while crossing: a passage of drive bias to establish a body surface that preceded the possibilities of subjectivity and encounter with otherness.As pointed out this work, based on Freudian formulations and articulated in Lacanian concepts, this process engenders the development of castration, the implication of the ideals of self and addresses that may be armed while symbolic references of
