Resumo: The following paper aims to bring light on the current production system of the fashion industry, addressing the speed of trends in the fast-fashion market and its main socio-environmental impacts, through Literature Reviews. The text invites us to reflect about the consumption patterns of contemporary society and the consequences it can have on the environment and individuals directly or indirectly involved in the production chain. Topics related to the collateral effects of fast-fashion on the environment resulting from the exploitation of limited natural resources and disruption of ecosystems caused by both chemical processes for fabric treatment and pesticides used in crops, are highlighted. Not only do we have the harm to the natural space, but also the disregard for individual Human Rights and Labor Rights, considering that, many times, these workers are subjected to exhausting working hours in unhealthy conditions, in exchange for meager wages or even working under conditions akin slavery, which puts their physical and mental integrity at risk

O texto nos convida a refletir a respeito da forma de consumo da sociedade contemporânea e seus impactos no meio ambiente, bem como nos indivíduos participantes de maneira direta ou indireta na cadeia produtiva. Destacam-se os tópicos referentes aos impactos da fast-fashion no meio ambiente, consequentes da exploração de recursos finitos presentes na natureza e o desbalanceamento do ecossistema causado tanto por processos químicos para o tratamento dos tecidos quanto por agrotóxicos presentes nas lavouras. Não somente há lesão do espaço natural, mas também o descaso em relação nos Direitos Humanos e Trabalhistas.
