The purpose of the presente paper is to study the accident benefit, whit the objective of reflecting on the protection by means of the social security benefits, on the various legislative changes since it s creation. The study offers a reflection of need when the situation arising fron diseases that have no occupation origin., understanding that should also be protected by accident benefits. Devoted a chapter to present the concepts related to labor accidents, bringing the diferentiaton when the accident benefit is caused by accident labor and when it s no labor origen. Worked up, too, the individuals protected by the chosen benefit. This study followed the deductive method, based on systematic analysis of law, in its constitutional and legal dimension, based on several law doctrinal of the native and foreign, especially Spanish authors, and, when necessary, presenting difficult question present in the jurisprudence
