Resumo: The present work has the scope to present a study about the expansion of collegiality, a technique of judgment incorporated into the norms of civil procedural law with the advent of the Code of Civil Procedure of 2015, foreseen in article 942. This is one of the most important innovations brought by the novel procedural law in the scope of appeals, since the said technique of judgment succeeded in the appeal of Embargos Infringentes provided for in the CPC of 1973. Through the present work it will be possible to deepen the study about the subject, identifying its main aspects and impacts in the judicial proceedings, given the contemporaneity and relevance of the subject, and consequent necessity of exploration of the subject that has already aroused the interest of several doctrinators
