The “economic-financial balance” is the subject of the present paper, the present study of the theories that authorize the economic-financial balance of contracts, as an example of the theory of the unpredictability, its elements of applicability, the scope of protection of the contractual equation, as well as the existing institutes to assure the commented contractual balance, as readjustment, repact, revision, financial update. The maintenance of the economic balance of the administrative contract, which must be just and balanced, promotes interest of the particular ones in the achievement of the public interest, in attention to the principles of the equity, good-faith, prohibition to the enrichment without cause, among others, with the promotion of the national development and the full attendance to the aspirations of the social body
