The necessity for a faster and more efficient process brings us the urgency of introducing into the Brazilian judicial system measures that enable the parties to settle for their specific case the best solution to solve their conflict. Thus, the present work aims to analyze in depth the procedural contract and the limitations that are imposed on the parties at the moment of the conclusion of the instrument containing procedural subject. Divided into nine chapters, this paper initially discusses the importance of procedural contracts in light of the principle of reasonable length of process, then delving deeper into fact, act and legal transaction, and going through alternative forms of conflict resolution, after that, we finally enter into the central theme. Inside the theme procedural contract we study its elements of existence, validity and effectiveness, as well as the judges's procedding in the application of the contract. Finally, we have brought some clarifications on timing of procedural steps and judicial case management
