Resumo: | The objective of this final course assignment, called "Jesus' transfiguration and the awakening of the discipleship in Luke's gospel", was to show, objectively, the transfiguration of Jesus (Luke 9,28-36) as a determinative factor so that the disciples, identifying themselves with Jesus, had made the decision to follow him, sharing with him his way to live and his mission. IS worth to observe the pedagogy used by Jesus to awake his discipleship. He had separated three of his disciples (Peter, John and James) of day by day activities and invited them to come up, together, the mountain to pray. Other particularity presented is the Christological focus present in Luke's gospel. Jesus' message has by receivers, mainly, the excluded ones, the poor, women and the bad famed, showing God's concern with the humbles and oppressed. "Blessed are you Who are poor, for your is the kingdom ofGod." (Luke 6,20b). Written starting from the Pascal event, Luke's gospel accent that the practice of Jesus transcends in the history. His mission gets meaning in the words, actions and in the daily teachings lived along with the excluded. Therefore, it is possible to affirm that Jesus praxis is: procedural (historic and developed with basis in concrete reactions), incarnate (starting from the economic, politic and religious reality of people) and conflicted (something not desired, but inevitable, because of the contradiction between the Kingdom of God and the social reality of those times). The encounter with Jesus Christ alive and resurrected changed the disciples' fear in courage. Peter emembered the Master's words: "Don't be afraid!" (Luke 5,8), the sadness was replaced by happiness. The experience lived and a consequent transformation that the disciples had passed happened because of the action of the Holy Spirit, spilled in Pentecost. The Holy Spirit had been preparing the disciples' hearts as themselves, slowly, opened the space, starting from the desire and the missing that they had of being with Jesus. Jesus comes close to his beloveds in a calm way, restful and unnoticed. And then stays with them |

The Holy Spirit had been preparing the disciples' hearts as themselves, slowly, opened the space, starting from the desire and the missing that they had of being with Jesus. Jesus comes close to his beloveds in a calm way, restful and unnoticed. (LC 5,8) e a tristeza deu lugar a alegria.
