On the issue of NBR 15.575, which deals with the performance criteria that are applied to residential buildings, we mean by review, although a little briefly, their legal consequences, especially with regard to the analysis of the obligations and duties assigned to the designer, the builder and, mainly, to the duty of the user for the preventive maintenance of systems that make up his property, with a view to studying the consequences that this standard will bring to the civil legal responsibility of the builder with the possibility to obliterate it in this case in front of the owner's negligence. Focusing on the maintenance of systems and on compliance with the building project, we analyze the consequences of their failure, as the procedural liability to be applied
