In the current context of growing concern about environmental and social issues, the concept of sustainable development has become increasingly relevant. In this sense, the adoption of practices related to the circular economy and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) criteria emerges as an essential strategy to promote a more equitable and environmentally responsible economy. In Brazil, a country marked by vast socioeconomic and environmental diversity, the effective implementation of these policies presents significant challenges, but also promising opportunities. This work had the general objective of analyzing how policies related to the Circular Economy and ESG criteria can be effectively implemented in the Brazilian context to promote sustainable development, considering the socioeconomic and environmental challenges present in the country. The methodology used consisted of a qualitative, descriptive, and bibliographic literature review. The results indicated that the analysis of the implementation of policies related to the Circular Economy and ESG criteria in the Brazilian context, it is possible to infer that there are significant challenges to be overcome, however, there are also promising opportunities to boost sustainable development in the country. Brazil, characterized by its vast socioeconomic and environmental diversity, faces a series of obstacles ranging from structural issues to cultural and political resistance. Although the challenges are significant, policies related to the Circular Economy and ESG criteria have the potential to promote sustainable development in Brazil
