This paper deals with the human right to healthy and adequate food in face of food crisis (qualitative, economic and environmental). It shows the correlation between this right and different fields of Law and Science, and how these knowledges are linked in the search for solutions to the problem faced. It demonstrates the enormous differences between conventional agriculture and agroecological agriculture, based on sustainable agricultural practices and organic food production, passing through the environmental, economic and social bias, especially in relation to their costs in the indiscriminate use of pesticides. It seeks to outline the historical consequences of the current form of production in Brazil, and the proposals currently made to overcome this food crisis. Studies the political and social change in the face of human awareness concerning food security and nutrition, which, in Brazil, is reflected in the National Plan for Agroecology and Organic Prodution and National Plan for Food Security and Nutrition. Finally, it tries to tie the ideas of life protection, environmental preservation and human right to healthy and adequate food through cultivation techniques proposed as a possible solution to food and nutrition crisis
