Resumo: | In this work we’ve proposed a reflection about the relations between the universe of fashion and the education universe, based in a practical experience that happened before a search for any theoretical basis. From the project Moda na Escola initiated in 2003 at Carandá School that brings reflection and practice about fashion and it’s relations within the individual’s universe we’ve made a research for the elements that influence the construction of the look, this imagery construction that embodies the manipulation processes of one’s own appearance through the act of dressing and garnishing the body in a development sense for the experiencing of “me”. Here we’ve pointed the creative and the artistic acting as paths to proportionate a major autonomy for the subject, the cloths user, in relation to the dictates of fashion. To the subject, having the stylist experience, living the role of a fashion creator, the one who ‘can make whatever he wants’ allows this subjects to interfere in a system that seemed before to be inaccessible. To this point, we’ve tried to establish relations between the “me” notion that we posses and the image linked to it, both in the external and in internal of the subject, it’s self-image. We also believe that these structure “me”-image seems to have a great relevance in one’s self esteem constitution and also its personal satisfaction which, in consequence, will affect its relationships with other individuals. We’ve than began to understand the forces in action during the dressing act, understood here as a place of reflection and change through self-consciousness. These act can offer important insights about “the one that dresses” due to the identifications made present in it which are manifest during the choice making versus the imaginary scenario in which the individual will act. The appearance possesses a fundamental function that is the promotion of communication between individuals, what makes the image of the other with whom the dressing individual will be presented, for its performance, to become a present figure during the dressing act itself. Observing the fashion as a phenomenon that establishes groups, we’ve made a comparison between fashion and its role for the group leader, in a ideological way, constituting the elements that keeps one united trough the substitution of its ideal, or the idealized “me”, by a collective one. As groups have a homogenizing character we suggest that fashion also has it, making the one who submits itself to the dictates of fashion to conceal its “self” over a collective will. We are suggesting than that a form to balance these two forces is to bring awareness about the mechanisms that are in action in this game, approaching the authoritarian voice of fashion to the individual’s creative expression. To the end we present an account over a practical experience in order to illustrate the practice developed offering a reflection over it from the theoretical observations that have been taken during this research. The result is a thorough coupled with the improvement of the practice. It provides support for the claim that the place of fashion is also in education, opening pathways to awareness and expression that are liberating for the individual |

A partir do projeto Moda na Escola, iniciado em 2003 na Escola Carandá, que propõe a reflexão e prática a respeito da moda e suas relações com o universo individual, buscamos compreender os elementos que influenciam a construção do look, essa construção imagética que incorpora os processos de manipulação da própria aparência pelo ato de vestir e ornamentar o corpo numa construção de sentido para a experiência do “eu”. Apontamos o ato criativo e o fazer artístico como caminho para proporcionar uma maior autonomia do sujeito, usuário das roupas, com relação aos ditames da moda. Para o indivíduo, passar pela experiência do estilista, vivendo o papel do criador da moda, aquele que tem o poder de “criar o que quiser” lhe permite interferir em um sistema que antes lhe parecia inacessível. Para este fim, procuramos estabelecer relações entre a noção de “eu” que possuímos e a imagem que esta atrelada a ela, tanto no âmbito externo quanto no interior do sujeito, a autoimagem. Acreditamos também que esta estrutura “eu” / imagem, parece possuir grande relevância na constituição da autoestima e na satisfação pessoal o que, consequentemente, afetará as relações com os outros. Em seguida, buscamos compreender as forças que estão em ação no ato de vestir, entendido aqui como o lugar de reflexão e mudança através do autoconhecimento. Ele pode fornecer revelações importantes sobre “aquele que veste” devido às identificações que se fazem presentes ali e se manifestam através das escolhas finais, frente ao cenário no qual se vai atuar. A aparência possui uma função fundamental que é a promover comunicação entre indivíduos, o que faz com que a imagem do outro, para quem ela será apresentada posteriormente, durante a performance, esteja sempre presente na hora em que a aparência e gerada. Observamos a moda como fenômeno que estabelece grupos e fizemos uma comparação entre ela e o papel do líder do grupo, de forma ideológica, constituindo o elemento que o mantém unido através da substituição do ideal do eu individual por um coletivo. Como os grupos possuem um caráter homogeneizador, sugerimos que a moda também o possui, fazendo com que aquele que se submeta aos seus imperativos indiscriminadamente oculte seu “eu” em detrimento de uma vontade coletiva. Sugerimos que uma forma de equilibrar as duas forças seja a conscientização a respeito dos mecanismos que estão ação neste jogo, aproximando a voz autoritária da moda da expressão do criador individual. Apresentamos ao final um relato sobre a experiência, afim de ilustrar a pratica ali desenvolvida e refletir sobre ela a partir das observações teóricas recolhidas durante esta pesquisa. O resultado é um embasamento aprofundado aliado ao aperfeiçoamento da prática.
