The aim of this study is to analyze the contributions of Educational Guidance in the school context of high school students. The research methodology used was bibliographic review based on theoretical and reflective analysis in face to the work developed by the Educational Guidance with teenager students. The theoretical foundations mainly refer to contemporary productions in Educational Guidance. The point of this work is to recognize and present the characteristics of the educational guidance process and explain how I can contribute to the social and academic education of adolescent students. Therefore, the purpose of the role and action of the Educational Guidance, the characteristics of teenagers in the studied age group and their relationships with family, school and career choice are analyzed. Finally, it presents the contributions obtained by the Orientation’s work to the school context. It is hoped that this work can contribute to analysis and critical reflection on the importance of this professional for education. It is also expected to incite all educators, committed to an action dedicated to the development of the students, which are individuals in constant transformation process, in order to make then critical citizens, responsible and aware of their role in society
