Corporate Restructuring is a vital instrument for social and economic stability, aiming at preserving jobs and mitigating adverse impacts resulting from business crises. It is a highly complex procedure, with challenges faced by companies when seeking this restructuring tool. There will be a critical phase in the process regarding the approval of the corporate restructuring plan at the general meeting of creditors, highlighting the delicate negotiation between the parties involved. As a consequence of the plan's approval, corporate restructuring is granted through a decision: novation. Debt novation is a key element of the corporate restructuring procedure, revealing its effects on the dynamics of credit relationships and its role in the economic sustainability of the company. Finally, the possibility of filing for a new corporate restructuring and the consequences of this measure, providing a concise and comprehensive view of the challenges and impacts of this complex universe of business restructuring
