Resumo: (ESTUDO 1) - Effects of proposed speech therapy associated with animal assisted therapy on the treatment of persons who stutter. INTRODUCTION: Animal Assisted Intervention (IAA) is an approach that incorporate animals in the areas of health, education, and social service, with an aim to obtain therapeutic benefits. While there has been research on the subject with relevant results in various areas of health and education, there are still few studies inherent to speech therapy. In Brazil, some studies show that IAA favors communicative intent in the elderly and improves symptoms of oral and written language disorders in children. In this context, this study investigates the effects of the Animal Assisted Therapy (TAA) modality, specifically in participants who stutter. In order to seek scientific evidence that justifies a therapeutic proposal built on these interfaces for the care of this population, the hypothesis of the study is that the dog's relationship with the subject enables a context of depathologization that favors fluency. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effects of proposed speech therapy associated with animal assisted therapy in the treatment of participants who stutter. METHOD: This is a qualitative intervention research. Two Golden Retrievers, who were co-therapist dogs, were selected and trained for the function. The sample included 8 participants, adolescents and adults, of both sexes, diagnosed with developmental stuttering; these were divided into two groups. In the Control Group (CG), the participants underwent speech therapy without a dog; in the Intervention Group (IG), the participants were administered TAA. Procedure: Pre and post-treatment evaluation was performed where the creep indicators were analyzed. Qualitative data were also analyzed. RESULTS: There was no statistically significant difference between the groups. Qualitative data indicated some differences, such as greater motivation and more commitment in IG, enabling symbolic elaboration of psychic contents. CONCLUSION: The presence of a dog facilitates affective exchanges, a welcoming feeling, body relaxation, and helps develop a patient-therapist bond and in the symbolic elaboration of psychic contents. (ESTUDO 2) - Effects of the Presence of a Dog on the Psychic Content Expression of a Stuttering Person: Case Report. INTRODUCTION: Stuttering has negative impacts on an individual’s quality of life and is associated with a higher risk of the development of social and psychological problems. From this perspective, despite the diversity of the etiological hypotheses for and treatments of stuttering, the interface between psychology and speech therapy in the approach to the biopsychic aspects involved in this clinical scenario stands out. Recent research indicates that the presence (specifically of dogs) can assist patients in the symbolic elaboration of psychic content. OBJECTIVE: Evaluate the effects of a dog's presence on the expression of the psychic content of a stuttering person, with the hypothesis that framing may reduce symptoms. CASE PRESENTATION: The subject is M., female, 45 years old, married, without children, a hairdressing assistant, with elementary school completed. She underwent the process of speech therapy in the presence of a dog. A semidirected interview was conducted after this process. A co-therapist dog of the Golden Retriever breed participated in all sessions. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: The relevant subjective content observed in the setting during the speech therapy process, which seems to have been mobilized by the framework established by the interaction among the therapist, the patient, and the dog, seems to demonstrate an association with the manifestation of disfluencies. The dog made physical contact with, supported, motivated and welcomed the subject in situations in which psychic conflicts were demonstrated. CONCLUSION: This clinical case study indicates that the dog's presence and interaction framework favored the reduction of stuttering symptoms, promoting a welcoming environment that enabled the subject's psyche-soma integration

INTRODUÇÃO: A Intervenção Assistida por Animais (IAA) é uma abordagem que tem como objetivo incorporar os animais às áreas da saúde, educação e serviço social, visando obter benefícios de caráter terapêutico. Pesquisas vem sendo realizadas sobre o tema, já com relevantes resultados em várias áreas da saúde e educação, contudo ainda são escassos estudos inerentes à fonoaudiologia. No Brasil, alguns estudos mostram que a IAA favorece a intenção comunicativa em idosos e melhoram sintomas de distúrbios de linguagem oral e escrita em crianças. Nesse contexto, o interesse é de investigar os efeitos da modalidade Terapia Assistida por Animais (TAA) especificamente em sujeitos que gaguejam. A hipótese é que a relação do cão com o sujeito possibilite um contexto de despatologização que favoreça a fluência, com vistas a buscar evidências científicas que justifiquem uma proposta terapêutica construída nessas interfaces para o atendimento dessa população. OBJETIVO: Avaliar os efeitos de proposta de terapia fonoaudiológica associada à terapia assistida por animais no tratamento de sujeitos que gaguejam. MÉTODO: Trata-se de pesquisa de intervenção de natureza qualitativa. Cães coterapeutas: dois cães da raça Golden Retriever, selecionados e treinados para a função. Casuística: 08 sujeitos, adolescentes e adultos, de ambos os sexos, com diagnóstico de gagueira desenvolvimental, divididos em dois grupos. No Grupo Controle (GC), os sujeitos foram submetidos à terapia fonoaudiológica sem cão; no Grupo Pesquisa (GP), os sujeitos realizaram TAA. Procedimento: Foi realizada avaliação pré e pós-tratamento onde foram analisados os indicadores de fluência. Dados qualitativos também foram analisados. RESULTADOS: Não houve diferença estatisticamente significativa entre os grupos. Os dados qualitativos indicam algumas diferenças como: maior motivação, mais comprometimento no GP, possibilitando elaboração simbólica de conteúdos psíquicos. CONCLUSÃO: A presença do cão proporciona trocas afetivas, acolhimento, relaxamento corporal, facilita o vínculo paciente-terapeuta e elaboração simbólica de conteúdos psíquicos. ESTUDO 2 - Efeitos da presença do cão na expressão de conteúdos psíquicos de um sujeito que gagueja: estudo de caso. INTRODUÇÃO: A gagueira gera impactos negativos na qualidade de vida dos sujeitos e está associada a maior risco de desenvolvimento de problemas sociais e psíquicos. Nessa perspectiva, apesar da diversidade das hipóteses etiológicas e dos tratamentos da gagueira, destaca-se a interface entre psicologia e fonoaudiologia na abordagem dos aspectos bio-psíquicos envolvidos nesse quadro clínico. Pesquisas recentes indicam que a presença (especificamente de cães) pode auxiliar o paciente na elaboração simbólica de conteúdos psíquicos. OBJETIVO: avaliar os efeitos da presença do cão na expressão de conteúdos psíquicos de um sujeito que gagueja, com a hipótese de que o enquadre pode reduzir o sintoma. APRESENTAÇÃO DO CASO: O sujeito é M., sexo feminino, 45 anos, casada, sem filhos, cursou ensino fundamental completo e de auxiliar de cabeleireira. Passou pelo processo de terapia fonoaudiológica na presença do cão. Foi realizada uma entrevista semi-dirigida após o processo. Um cão coterapeuta, da raça Golden Retriever, participou de todas as sessões. RESULTADOS E DISCUSSÃO: Alguns conteúdos subjetivos relevantes observados no setting no decorrer do processo terapêutico fonoaudiológico, os quais parecem ter sido mobilizados pelo enquadre estabelecido pela interação entre terapeuta-paciente-cão, parecem demonstrar associação com a manifestação das disfluências. O cão fez contato físico, deu suporte, motivou e acolheu o sujeito em situações de demonstração de conflitos psíquicos. CONCLUSÃO: Este estudo de caso clínico indica que o enquadre da presença e interação do cão favoreceu a redução do sintoma da gagueira, promovendo ambiente acolhedor possibilitando a integração psique-soma do sujeitoConselho Nacional de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico - CNPqapplication/pdfhttp://tede2.pucsp.br/tede/retrieve/51841/Tatiane%20Ichitani.pdf.jpgporPontifícia Universidade Católica de São PauloPrograma de Estudos Pós-Graduados em FonoaudiologiaPUC-SPBrasilFaculdade de Ciências Humanas e da SaúdeTerapia assistida por animaisGagueiraLinguagemAnimals - Therapeutic useStutteringLanguageCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::FONOAUDIOLOGIATerapia fonoaudiológica assistida por animais: proposta de tratamento para sujeitos que gaguejamEffects of proposed speech therapy associated with animal assisted therapy on the treatment of persons who stutterinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da PUC_SPinstname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP)instacron:PUC_SPTEXTTatiane Ichitani.pdf.txtTatiane Ichitani.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain103373https://repositorio.pucsp.br/xmlui/bitstream/handle/23039/4/Tatiane%20Ichitani.pdf.txt818d5f43a697ec9b289df5fd154bcf25MD54LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
