Resumo: The participation of old people in productive practices for themselves and for the other generations has shown how they have everything to be successful. This research aims to investigate, in the light of the theoretical-methodological perspective of Gerontology, which means for the old people of the Anglo-Brazilian Village popular practices that take place in a public environment, and what their contribution to the coexistence with the aging itself \and that of other people. An interview was conducted with 10 elderly people, through a sociodemographic questionnaire and closed and open questions, in order to trace the profile of the subjects and to portray the reality of their daily lives. The academic record of the case of the Anglo-Brazilian Village has its importance in showing the protagonism of the old people in socio-political terms to mobilize, exercise their rights and duties, acting as social agents with other residents, sensitizing them to engage in fight for improvements in the neighborhood. Forgotten by the public power in the early 80's, the neighborhood is in the West Zone of São Paulo and has houses of middle class and other very poor. A popular movement was created to request from the Municipal and State government rights to the citizens and were won: public stairs (1982); basic health Unit, inaugurated in 1983; the child day care and the center of the child and adolescent in 1985 and the youth and adult education in 2009. The conquest of UBS's own building took 23 years, occurring in 2003 and has Educational and Therapeutic Groups that work under the coordination and / or help of the Elderly. The results of the interviews were analyzed based on from Paulo Freire's socio-educational approach, among other Gerontology theorists and other areas, who believe in social actions and validate them as well as to its transforming agents, among others, the classic Debert, Mucida, Messy, Agamben, and from the perspective of the Active Aging Policy. The results of the interviews show that the perception that in the old age people are not productive and happy, emphasizes how the organized population improves the living conditions of the people in every way; these intergenerational experiences can contribute to the field of research and practices in the field of aging and are seen as a good way for Social and Public Policies in favor of healthy, active aging

Esta pesquisa objetiva investigar, à luz da perspectiva teórico-metodológica da Gerontologia, o que significa para os velhos da Vila Anglo-Brasileira participar de práticas populares que ocorrem em ambiente público, e qual sua contribuição para a convivência com o próprio envelhecimento e o de outras pessoas. Foi realizada entrevista com 10 pessoas idosas, por meio de questionário sociodemográfico e questões fechadas e abertas, a fim de traçar o perfil dos sujeitos-participantes e retratar a realidade de suas vidas cotidianas. O registro acadêmico-científico do caso da Vila Anglo-Brasileira tem a sua importância ao mostrar o protagonismo dos velhos, em termos sociopolíticos ao se mobilizarem, exercerem seus direitos e deveres, atuando como agentes sociais junto aos demais moradores, sensibilizando-os a que se engajassem na luta por melhorias no bairro. Esquecido pelo poder público no começo dos anos 80, o bairro fica na Zona Oeste de São Paulo e tem casas de classe média e outras muito pobres. Um movimento popular foi criado para exigir da Prefeitura e do Governo do Estado direitos aos cidadãos e foram conquistados: um Escadão (1982); a UBS, em uma casa alugada, inaugurada em 1983; a Creche e o CCA em 1985 e o EJA em 2009. A conquista do prédio próprio da UBS demorou 23 anos, ocorrendo em 2003 e tem Grupos Educativos e Terapêuticos que funcionam sob a coordenação e/ou auxílio de velhos. O resultado das entrevistas foi analisado a partir da abordagem socioeducacional de Paulo Freire, dentre outros teóricos da Gerontologia em interface a outras áreas do conhecimento, que acreditam em ações sociais e as validam, assim como a seus agentes transformadores, dentre outros, os clássicos Debert, Mucida, Messy, Agamben, e sob a perspectiva da Política de Envelhecimento Ativo. O resultado das entrevistas mostra que é preconceituosa a percepção de que, na velhice, as pessoas não são produtivas e felizes, destaca como a população organizada melhora as condições de vida das pessoas em todos os sentidos; estas experiências intergeracionais podem contribuir para o campo da pesquisa e das práticas na área do envelhecimento, sendo vistas como uma boa via para as Políticas Sociais e Públicas em favor de um envelhecimento saudável, ativoFundação São Paulo - FUNDASPapplication/pdfhttp://tede2.pucsp.br/tede/retrieve/48745/Elias%20Jos%c3%a9%20Novellino.pdf.jpgporPontifícia Universidade Católica de São PauloPrograma de Estudos Pós-Graduados em GerontologiaPUC-SPBrasilFaculdade de Ciências Humanas e da SaúdeEnvelhecimento - Aspectos sociaisIdosos - Política governamentalParticipação socialRelações entre geraçõesOlder people - Government policyAging - Social aspectsSocial participationIntergenerational relationsVila Anglo-Brasileira - São Paulo (Brazil) - Social coditionsVila Anglo-Brasileira (São Paulo, SP) - Condições sociaisCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS::SERVICO SOCIAL::SERVICO SOCIAL APLICADOPráticas intergeracionais e políticas públicas pró-envelhecimento na perspectiva de velhos: o caso da Vila Anglo-BrasileiraIntergenerational practices and pro-aging public policies from the perspective of the elderly: the case of the Anglo-Brazilian Villageinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da PUC_SPinstname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP)instacron:PUC_SPTEXTElias José Novellino.pdf.txtElias José Novellino.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain276572https://repositorio.pucsp.br/xmlui/bitstream/handle/22085/4/Elias%20Jos%c3%a9%20Novellino.pdf.txt25fe4d7e5ecdec3ee226e1bac5212674MD54LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
